BEST SPADES APP FOR JJDD, JJA & ACE-HIGH.
If you play JJDD (Joker Joker Deuce Deuce), JJA (Joker Joker Ace) or traditional Ace-High, the most important thing in a Spades app is that it enforces the right card ranking for your variant. BooksMade Spades was built around all three rule sets and is free on iOS and Android. This page lists what to check in any Spades app and how BooksMade handles each point.

Why variant support matters most
Most Spades apps are built for Ace-High. JJDD, JJA and other Joker variants change which cards win, so an app that treats the Jokers or the 2s as ordinary cards will play a different game from the one you know.
Before committing to an app, check the rules screen for your exact variant and play a few hands to see that the Jokers and 2s behave the way your table expects.
Learn the variants first
If you are choosing between variants, start with the rules pages: JJDD has four cards above the Ace of Spades, JJA has two, and Ace-High has none.
