Common Questions

THE STUFF PEOPLE
ASK MOST.

01

How do I create a league?

+
Open the app and go to My Leagues, then tap Create League. Name it, set your rules (bags, Nil, score limits), and invite your players. League games are tracked automatically — standings, match history, and player stats update in real time.
02

How do I track scores for a live in-person game?

+
Head to Spades HQ and tap Keep Score to launch the Scorekeeper. Enter player names, choose your rules, and the app handles the math. No scratch paper, no confusion — your game state is saved automatically if you need to pause and pick back up.
03

Where can I see my league stats?

+
Overall stats live in the Profile section of the app. For stats specific to a single league, go to My Leagues, open the league, tap Members, and select your name to view your league profile page.
04

What's the difference between CREW, Ranked, and Leagues?

+
CREW is a private lobby for casual games with friends — no stakes, custom rules, just Spades. Ranked matches you with random players and tracks your ELO on the global leaderboard. Leagues are organized groups you run with your own crew — leaderboard, standings, and full match history. Any member can boost a league (one-time, from $9.99) to unlock League Pro bracketed Events & Tournaments — participants need an active Premium Access subscription to join those.
05

What does Premium Access include?

+
Premium Access removes ads while you play and unlocks premium emojis and expanded in-game chat phrases. The core game — all online modes, leagues, and the scorekeeper — is free. Premium is $1.99/month or $14.99/year.
06

A player disconnected mid-game. What happens?

+
They’re placed in a disconnected state — the app plays a random legal card for them whenever their play timer runs out. If both players on a team are disconnected, that team loses automatically at the end of the next play timeout. Going back into the same mode (Ranked, CREW, or League) automatically tries to reconnect you if the game is still live.
